Chocolate Bananas

  • 6 bananas, skin must still be green
  • 30 dark chocolate buttons
  • Tin foil
  • Dark rum or Van Der Hum

Run a knife down the length of each banana. Make 5 incisions across the banana. Insert the chocolate buttons into the slits. Wrap up each fruit in tin foil to look like a Christmas cracker. Place directly on the coals and leave for 5-8 minutes, depending on how soft you’d like the dessert. Open the foils, splash on the rum and serve.
A spicy cardamom syrup makes a non-alcoholic alternative to the rum.
