Where do the Tools in Your Bbq Toolset go?

You get to a stage in your life when you have acquired enough tools to necessitate a tool box to store your collection of tools in. The problem with this is that the tool you require is never in the tool box and is normally nowhere to be found. So it’s off to the hardware store to replace the missing item and then as soon as you return home the missing tool mysteriously re-appears. This process eventually leads to the purchase of a second or even third tool box which makes it even more difficult to locate a required tool and so a vicious cycle begins. Although you would probably not buy a box to keep your bbq toolset in, much the same cycle applies. If you enjoy going on many camping or fishing trips where you are required to take your braai and bbq toolset with you this may apply to you even more.

And so you keep buying more and more tools to replace items that are not really missing but have just been misplaced until you have no more room to store your bbq toolset. But you end having three or four of one item whilst the item that you really need is never anywhere to be found. So the solution seems to be to have many tool sets at the ready and when one item of the tool set goes missing, it is best to discard the entire set and begin with a new set. Or just put the incomplete set away until the missing item is found.

The kids don’t help with this problem either. They love to pretend that they are dad standing over the braai with the tongs turning the meat but pretty soon other uses have been found for the tongs and they are never put back where they belong. And nobody in the house has ever seen or touched the missing tool; it seems to have just disappeared into a black hole.
